DRIVER INTERVIEW
Why do you race?
Because I love cars and having fun with my friends, getting pumped up by driving really well and laughing about it later.
What does the start of your day entail? Me begrudgingly getting out of bed at an ungodly hour to shlep to my day job as a maintenance mechanic at a water treatment plant.
How much time do you dedicate to practice between events? As much as possible, I love doing non-competitive events and just having a good time doing what I love.
What do you do to stay in shape during the season? I punch dance on the regular.
Where do you practice when at home? Summit Point Raceway in Summit Point, West Virginia, it is a great facility and only 25 minutes from my house.
Any funny road trip stories from your career? I mostly like to sleep on the way to events...
Is there any other sport you actively participate in? I snowboard during the winter months.
Are there any sponsors or specific people out there you would like to thank for helping you get to the races? I would like to Thank Ian and Dave from ASD for being immensely supportive and helpful in pointing me in the right direction in this sport, also my close friends, Dan, Ian, Todd, Alan, Nate, Kiely, Jens and my girlfriend Sarah for all of their support.
If you were trapped on a deserted island and could only bring one movie and one CD, what would they be? Movie: The Dark Crystal / CD: Michael Jackson; Thriller
What would be on the plate of your last meal ever? Slippery pot pie!
Your biggest pet peeve(s)? My tools being put back in the wrong place.
What music do you listen to? Biggie, Tupac, MJ, 80s music, Bluegrass.
One item you never leave the house without. Easy, Bathing suit. Pssh.
Favorite sports team? Washington Capitals(Hockey)
