Part of the overheating issue stems from hot air loitering in the engine bay, giving these hood vents a real purpose other than looking mean. Stemming straight from the radiator is some duct work to expel the hot air out and over the windshield rather than plunging deeper into the engine bay. Chevy claims that improving on this hood design will help with newer C7s. We might be a little skeptical.
