Mishimoto's Essentials Bundle for the FL5 CTR includes our Performance Radiator, Silicone Hoses, Aluminum Expansion Tank, and Racing Thermostat to keep your Type-R cool under pressure. The Performance Radiator features a larger, denser core with strutted tubes to keep your car cooler longer under heavy load and bring the temps back down quickly if it ever does run warm. The Silicone Hoses resist aging and withstand more heat and pressure than OEM rubber hoses. With a fully welded Aluminum Expansion Tank you'll never wonder if a cracked tank is going to wreck your day. Meanwhile the internal baffles you've never seen are keeping your coolant right where it needs to be, preventing air pockets that could cause hot spots. All of that was probably enough, but we added our Racing Thermostat for good measure. It'll keep your CTR cooler overall, starting to open earlier and fully opening 7C (12.6F) earlier than stock.

Hondaβs engineering team gave the new CTR a capable cooling system from the factory, but like most OEM setups, itβs built with mass production and cost-efficiency in mind. For owners who demand moreβwhether thatβs consistent lap times at the track or extra margin on a hot summer driveβour engineers set out to create a comprehensive cooling solution. The result is a trio of upgrades built to work in harmony: our Performance Aluminum Radiator, Silicone Radiator Hose Kit, and Aluminum Expansion Tank.
