WORLD Racing in Willow Springs, California!

Last time we heard from our boys over at WORLD Racing, Chris Rado dominated Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. The news from this past weekend is no different. WORLD Racing took California's Willow Springs Raceway by storm May 21st and 22nd, with one goal in mind: total track domination.

WORLD Racing brought both the Fwing tC and the Need For Speed AWD tC for the inaugural Global Time Attack and NASA Time Trial, held at Willow Springs Raceway. Excitement was in the air as driver Chris Rado prepared for battle against twenty other racing teams for a total of 10k in prize money, and over 6k in contingency prizes.

The day began on Saturday with Rado racing in the NASA Time Trial, keeping himself at steady 1:24 laps. Earlier in the day he had sent a tire off the track, so that coupled with the slow times tipped the crew off. Unfortunately, Rado's turbo was blown, but a faulty turbo isn't a big deal for an incredible crew and the great people over at Turbonetics! In no time flat, the FWing tC was ready to tear up the track for Sunday.

Thanks to the new turbo, Rado ended the weekend with the quickest lap of any car at 1:22.312. This awesome time secured 2nd place and the win for the Global Time Attack in the Unlimited GT FWD class. Unfortunately, Team Need For Speed AWD tC did not put in consistently good numbers, but the crew already has plans to fix the technical issues and get her running for the next event.
