From the factory, the Porsche Cayenne is equipped with a cooling system that’s well-suited for the average driver. However, for those who demand more—whether it’s spirited driving, towing, or off-road adventures—the stock radiator can quickly become a bottleneck. Heat soak, reduced cooling efficiency, and long-term wear can all lead to performance issues and potential overheating, particularly when conditions are less than ideal.

At the heart of the Mishimoto Performance Radiator is a single-row 40mm core, carefully designed to maximize coolant flow and heat dissipation. This larger core offers a 34% increase in external tube area and a 4% increase in internal tube area compared to the stock unit, allowing for improved heat transfer and better overall cooling efficiency.
To ensure durability, we incorporated strutted tubes, which provide additional support to the radiator core. This reinforcement helps maintain structural integrity even under extreme conditions where chassis flex poses a higher risk—whether you’re crawling through technical off-road trails or putting the pedal down on the highway.
The core is paired with an OEM-style louvered fin design, optimized to enhance airflow and maximize cooling efficiency. We also implemented a curved header plate, which not only improves brazing and connection strength but also increases the contact area for better heat dissipation.

For added reliability, we incorporated Porsche-specific expansion joints, a crucial feature that allows for better stress distribution and increased longevity. These expansion joints reduce fatigue on the radiator, helping to prevent leaks and failures over time—an essential consideration for off-roaders and overlanders who depend on their vehicles in remote locations.
We also reinforced the mounting points, making them thicker and stronger to ensure the radiator stays securely in place, even when paired with the AC condenser and transmission cooler. Additionally, the radiator features a CNC-machined inlet and outlet designed to perfectly match OE-style hose fittings, ensuring a leak-free and reliable connection.

A direct-fit design means no modifications are necessary. To make servicing easier, we included a slotted magnetic drain plug, which collects debris in the coolant and making fluid changes more efficient. The radiator also comes with foam sealing to improve fitment and further enhance cooling performance by preventing air leaks around the core. Finally, one of the most innovative additions is the billet aluminum fan shroud lock. This unique feature ensures a secure, OE-style mounting for the fan shroud, simplifying installation and maintaining compatibility with the factory cooling system.
