Mishimoto BMW E46 M3 Performance Aluminum Radiator
Thanks to an absolutely miserable winter in the mid-Atlantic area (will it ever end?), we have been struggling to find weather warm enough to test our products currently in the development process. To provide accurate, real-world data for our line of cooling products, we are required to test everything at temperatures we expect our customers to experience under normal driving conditions. Testing an oil cooler on a 30°F day is going to provide wildly different results than on a 90°F day! To provide the most accurate data possible, we needed to modify our strategies and look beyond our norms. In this case, we traveled down to Orlando, Florida, to properly test our brand new E46 M3 radiator!
Through some connections we were able to borrow a vehicle and some shop space from the kind folks over at PSI (Precision Sport Industries)! This shop really knows its BMWs and has some very cool projects going on. I highly recommend you check them out if you are local!
We rented a full day of track time at Orlando SpeedWorld and performed testing on both the stock radiator and the Mishimoto aluminum radiator. We had a gorgeous day with temperatures ranging from 80°F to 85°F. Testing results were very positive and will be highlighted in a full build for this product in the near future!
