    Fresh Air

An intake is a great way to dip your feet into the aftermarket modification pool. Easy to install, instant results, and a neat sound are key draws for upgrading this particular component. Depending upon the form of engine management and airflow sensor use, slight power gains are often a result of upgrading to a less restrictive system.

The new EcoBoost Mustang is slightly different than other intake projects we have tackled, which have been mainly Subaru MAF-style intake systems. As you know, the EB is a MAP-based system, so intake upgrades normally make less of an impact on power but still provide that same intake noise/growl you expect. Additionally, upgrading the intake for greater flow will provide less restrictions

    The Project Begins

Looking to pair your 6.4L aluminum radiator with a nice set of silicone hoses? We thought so! After developing a variety of components for the 6.4L Powerstroke, we decided to take a closer look at the radiator hoses on this truck.

After Ford released this truck in 2008, there were numerous complaints about leaking hoses. Ford issued a technical

Gearing Up For a Special Project

Highly renowned Team Mishi driver Ryan Tuerck has been a close friend to us for years. His Scion FR-S has been an iconic (some might even say majestic) part of Formula Drift since its debut in 2013. So we wondered, how can Ryan's fans implement his signature style in their own cars? With that in mind, we got Ryan on the phone and went straight to work!

    Behind the Scenes

We discussed several ideas with Ryan until we finally landed on the perfect collaborative project. What better way for fans to rip like Ryan than with a limited-edition Ryan Tuerck shift knob! Once we had a direction, it was time to put the pedal to the floor and get moving.

    Prototype Fabrication

With the front section of our exhaust complete, we needed to address the Y-section as well as the pipes routing to the mufflers. We decided to go with 2 1/4" piping following the Y-section, which matches the diameter of the STi system.

Check out a couple shots from the fabrication process.
